trial on free writing

There was a time
I used to believe in greater destiny
To be a blessed few
Who can see things
Wee bit more clearly
More evolved, more ordained
To unravel the mysteries of universe
Pity those who live their lives
Wretched in vanity, struggling, competing
Also those carefree and oblivious
Slackened and slumbering
as if nothing ever matters
The happy and sad, the merry and mad
It took me a while to realize
I am no different
I am merely wired to wonder

There are million vagaries of perception
but they are seldom stacked ascending
with one more superior, more ordained than other
they instead lie stacked, in a chaotic mess
converging, diverging and at times merging
but none really transcending
towards that purported greater truth
Some wonder, others do not
Some learn to accept, others to dissect
Some to fight other to fall in line
Some are followed revered
Others are stoned and crucified
Some die, other raise from the crucifix
Yet they are all just one among the million
