Happiness

Never seek happiness in 'to be'
Instead search your 'to do'
In 'writing' but not your 'writings'
In 'Singing' but not your songs
Happiness then, will be a byproduct
Oozing incessantly as you go

Revised/ Edited

Don't seek your happiness in outcome,
But in the process as it comes
In writing’s dance, not written pages,
In singing’s breath, not final phrases.
Happiness then, a constant stream,
Flowing steady, like a dream,
Not a prize at journey’s end,
But fruits you gather at every bend.

The Eastern Mind

My mind is often lit bright
Albeit with a translucent white
Far it helps me gaze
But not without a sense of haze
Perhaps some mist of east
Has survived the western heat

Sorrow

From happiness thou beget
Thy laughter and its rhyme
Thy heart n thy dime
But from sorrow thou borrow
Solace and peace
And wisdom to keep

Edited

From happiness, I often find,
Laughter flowing, free and kind.
Cherished memories held so dear,
A well of strength that's always near.

But from sorrow, I come to borrow
A flame that burns and lights tomorrow,
Peace that calms, a quiet guide,
To light my path and stay beside.

Offer all

When you feel you have nothing more to offer
That the road has drained you dry
That’s when you must decide to fly
See what sky has to offer

Knowledge

One never gets to meet the horizon
For further you go farther it goes
Yet you must chase it for a reason

For each day you learn something new and grow

God

If you want to know God
Create
Thence you shall know his joy
Give it all
Thence you shall know his love
And let it go

Thence you shall know his agony

Live Life

If you are unable to say
How today is different from yesterday
If your days are coloured in same hue
And tomorrow seem to offer nothing new
Then you are neither dead nor alive
For dead decays and turns manure
Life thrives on that hence
In time both has its purpose sure
So stop sitting on the fence
And no, don’t crossover as yet
For you wish it or not,
To that passing you would eventually get
So while you are here give it your best
Endeavour to live to the fullest
See, hear, taste and touch
Absorb what’s around as much
Learn to remember and remember to forget
Leave not much to regret
Learn to laugh and cry laughing
Fall in love and love falling
Clinch your chance, yet learn to let go
Soar high yet yearn to go slow
Take risks and risk to live
Extract all that it has to give
For there is nothing certain in life but death
No matter how hectic it may get

Finally you would get to rest

Life and Death

What is life without death?
Like a path without an end
A day without a night
It’s but death that completes life
Gives it meaning purpose and also hype

For who would long for what lasts forever?

Evolve

When life pushes you to the edge
And you find yourself standing on a ledge
When you feel destiny has had you dammed
With each and every way either clamped or crammed
When you feel whole universe has turned against
And the very nature wants to lay you waste
It’s not the time to succumb but resolve
For it’s only at precipice that we evolve

And if with evolution,
Thought of extinction came to your mind
Take lightly that revelation
For one day all of us death shall find

Heaven &Hell version 2

They say heaven and hell are forever
Its only earth that won’t last that long
Your days out here are counted
So make sure you make them count
They say, hell is all pain and heaven is all pleasure
But it’s on earth that you get its measure
They say, you leave it all behind
Wealth, success, fame and name
You walk past the gate just the same
Just like the way you came
But then, how will you know who you were
If even your soul, were to be bare
So memories for sure you carry
It’s in the memories you make
That you burn or bask forever

There are infinite parallels of universe, all intertwined
And we live in many at the same time
Heaven and hell, the two extremes
And multitudes of them in between
There are no after worlds, but this one
We don’t die and go anywhere
But we just live in one of them

God

They say God cast man in his own form
For he loved him so much
I say man conceived God in his own form
For he loved himself just so much
As for God, just no one knows
What cast he she or it may be
For one man’s God is other mans fiction

The fall

If you have fallen
You can sure stand again
For one who has not fallen ever
 for sure is not standing
So never fear the fall
For if child had fear of fall
Man wouldn’t have walked at all

Good and Bad

The good is all lit and bright
Is seen by all and loved by all
Yet somewhere in the corner
There is always a wee bit of darkness
Where it wants to hide
And loose itself once in a while
The bad is all dark and gloomy
It’s unseen, unknown and feared by all
Yet somewhere deep within
There is always a wee bit of light
Where it wants to go
And discover itself once in a while

Dreams 4

There is no dearth of dreams
For everyone dreams of success
Of money and fame that it brings
Of happiness and tears of joy
Some can feel it and taste it
See themselves standing on the podium
Crossing the line tearing the ribbon
They can hear the crowd cheering their name
Yet most don’t even start their race
For they are lost in the mirage of their dreams
Dreams u see, are reflections
Very much so, of a very possible future
Yet, like all reflections, they are inversed
What comes last is seen the first
While most see success right in front
They fail to see the toil and sweat
 The innumerable failures and falls
The treacherous path that follows behind
To the far end of their dreams

What is right

Most men know what is right
They have it right in their sight
It’s seldom ignorance that takes them astray
But an easier wrong that has its sway
Men stagger more on shiny days
Than loose their way
On pitch dark nights
For most men know what is right
Even when it is out of their sight

Habits

We are not the product
But additions of our actions
And the small ones that we call habits
Often add up more and beyond
Most monumental of our efforts

Tomorrow

Learn to dream
Yet not be consumed by them
Let them fire up your heart
Yet, let it not burn your soul
Tomorrow may be the day
When your dreams would hatch
But it’s always today
Where it is conceived

Faith

Can you take the leap of faith?
Jump off a cliff hoping,
That you would indeed grow wings;
There is then a chance my friend,
That you may fly,
Before you fall and die.

Content

It’s only in pain,
That I find my voice
I can either be a man of content
Or a poet of lament
Irony yet
It’s only in my writing
I find content

Horse and theButterfly

The horse asks the butterfly
I saw you here at dawn
Dancing around these flowers callously playing by
While I saddled for my journey far drawn
I travelled today a hundred miles
Galloped all through not rested even for a while
End of the day what I can with content say
With hard work sweat and toil I have earned my hay
And here you are while you can fly
From every work you simply shy
There is no purpose in your unsteady flight
Although I not like to pry, but I still wonder why
Butterfly smiled and fluttered for a while
Close to the horse observing his plight
And right when the horse shook his head and nodded in despise
Butterfly broke her silence and hummed in her voice nice
While you galloped around and covered distance abound
You saw nothing beyond the track that you were bound
I did dance around and never left this surround
While you paced around I was rather slow
But I enjoyed all this while beauty that nature endow
I have seen flowers bloom their fragrance loom
And I have seen them wilting and falling the coming noon
I have seen the morning dew glowing
And seen my young ones growing
Felt the joy of life and the ecstasy of love
And in this very day the dance of death
So many of my kin birds have preyed n fed
I have learned to live for the moment now
Make each moment of my existence count
Your journeys are bland but for those slants and mounts
Part that you strained and part that you eased along
For you life is a race, for me it’s an eternal song
For me life is a celebration and not a destination
So I don’t run but dance along
I carry its colours tattooed on my fly
Intoxicated by its nectar I flutter by
Long before the next dawn
I would be forever gone
I have yet no regrets or fear
For I live my life to the fullest dear
